![]() ![]() Her family invites attendees to wear something yellow to symbolize the joy that Karen brought into our lives. A Celebration of Karen’s life will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, May 22 nd at First United Methodist Church of Pueblo, 11th and Court. Karen also leaves behind sisters Susan Beeman and Lauri Martino, and bonus siblings, Nancy Bartosz and John Priddy, as well as her PEO sisters, her church family, and countless family members and friends. She leaves behind her husband of 35 years, Bob, three children: Erin (David), Alex (Lauren) & Jodi (Ryan). Karen departed this earthly life on May 5, 2022. Throughout her life, Karen continuously searched for ways to help others: driving for Meals on Wheels, taking cancer patients to their medical treatments, volunteering on mission projects, singing in the church choir, serving on committees in her children’s schools, and donating her time to many charitable organizations, such as Care and Share, the Cooperative Care Center, and others. She had a passion for helping people in need and spent more than 30 years as an RN working with people with developmental disabilities. ![]() Karen was a devoted mother, wife, sister, aunt, registered nurse, and a servant of the Lord and her community. She grew up on their family farm near Avondale, east of Pueblo, where she learned the value of faith, family, and hard work, which served her well throughout her life. Karen was born Apto Dorothy and Tom Richardson.
